Treat yourself to the Best Discovery you’ve had in a while…
At the risk of any additional lame puns, I need to get right to the point.
This is a good read. The author has put her heart into this story and it showed in her writing. It’s a great end to a series that has grown with me as a reader. I would be remiss if I didn’t stop and say that this title is so much more than a romance or some kinky erotica book. It’s a book that confronts life after the Happily Ever After has come and gone and life continues like a predictor taking all of your romantic dreams and stomps all over it.
Let’s just say that this was a book I could definitely identify with. Life as we age into the married life beyond the planned glamorous one. When you discover your kids and all that they come with, are not so cute anymore. When your other half hasn’t picked up on your new interests in and out of the bedroom. When you think you are communicating and the reality outside your own head is far from what you realize it is. When everyone else looks at you and thinks you’re not so fabulous as you had planned on being. Then add in a few life curves including a special needs kid, parents who suddenly need you more, and… well…stuff. Basically, Book Three of the Legally Bound Series by Rebecca Grace Allen started out for me with a whole lot of Highlighting of passages as I called out “OMG! YES!”, but not because of the hot and steamy sex scenes. Because I couldn’t believe that in a few short chapters anyone would be brave enough to write about the truth of life when it’s running by and you want to find your nearest escape.
What? This doesn’t sound appealing in the newest hot romance book?
Here’s a hint: Don’t let that stop you from reading this book! Keep reading because the discoveries that await our main characters are finally a lot different than the ones we are used to. The writing is excellent (as usual for this trained writer) and the love builds HOT.
Let’s face it, when you can only go uphill, there’s a lot of fun to experience. I think we need to keep this in mind more often.
I loved this book. I loved the first two! In fact, after reading the second book of the Legally Bound Series, I instantly purchased the Audible version of the first one. I was INSTANTLY a fan of Allen’s writing.
This isn’t your traditional millionaire Fifty Shades kind of book. It thoughtfully explores the BDSM community without making us side-liners cringe with a bunch of WTF’s. It’s a way to experience beautiful, consensual and thoughtful relationships through a realistic story. In this one, things are a little switched up. It makes a lot of sense. The the steamy scenes work for the characters without giving up the integrity of the themes of the story and struggle within Sam and Brady’s lives.
It’s not essential, this book can be a standalone. However, if you get a chance to read the first two, do it! You won’t be sorry either way. The cast of characters just make this one a book worth waiting for.
Discover the path that extends beyond the Castles gates and into the reality of the forest that is marriage. Then get ready to learn or remember if you have forgotten, that the old saying is very true… the older the marriage the harder the battle through fight, the better the results. Love does grow. It gets really so much better when we communicate what we need and don’t give up.
(Incidentally.org was graciously provided an Advanced Readers Copy of Their Discovery, by the author and CONSEQUENTLY asked to review as a part of the Blog Tour, not in exchange. It was a damned good book. Please check out the links below and follow up with the author!)

Exploring their fantasies could save their marriage…or push it over the edge
Legally Bound, Book 3
Samantha Archer’s life has hit a wall. Her world is housework, homework and reminding her husband—the biggest kid in the family—to help out at home. Once she felt confident, powerful and sexy, but Brady doesn’t seem to notice her anymore, and now all she feels is invisible.
Brady has tried being the goofy guy who stole Sam’s heart, but it’s not working. He’s losing the woman he loves and doesn’t have a clue how to fix it. He’s keeping his darkest fantasies hidden too, sure they’re not what Sam wants, and his inability to please her cuts him deeper than she knows.
When Sam lands a new job at a law firm, Brady still won’t pick up the slack, and one night giving him orders unexpectedly reignites their missing spark. Sam discovers the Femdomme she didn’t know she was, kindling Brady’s submissive desires.
But while things heat up inside the bedroom, life outside it starts unraveling. Brady’s need to call the shots at work complicates his hunger to kneel for his wife, and Sam has longed to experiment in more ways than one. Their exploration of dominance and submission goes a step too far when they invite Sam’s sultry switch coworker into their bed, and the fallout could cost them everything.
Warning: contains a six-foot-five, ex-football player geek and a ballsy, badass redhead who’s learning to unleash her inner Domme. Scenes depicting humiliation, pegging and threesomes could disturb, or stimulate a thirst for adventure.

After stumbling through careers in entertainment, publishing, law and teaching, she’s returned to her first love: writing. A self-admitted caffeine addict and gym rat, she currently lives in upstate New York with her husband, two parakeets, and a cat with a very unusual foot fetish.
